Hey dudes and dudettes. Since I have a few awesome readers, I’d like to show my appreciation by putting up some new wallpapers in the fun section. Right now we just have an iPhone size and a 1680 x 1050 size. I’ll add more soon. Check it out! Free jpg! Yay!!
Okay so, forgo the schedule updates! I know, I know, it’s kinda random right now.
See… I’m early on in my comic. I’m experimenting. I wanted to do the normal updates on monday and friday but still have more content and updates in the middle of the week. I didn’t like that lull in the week. I decided to do these doodely comics to pass the week. I’m excited about them. I want to do these all the time. I love the simple style and in some cases, at least the ones I’ve done for my buffer, are better cartoons than my usual cut. Anyhoo, just wanted to drop in and say a few words about that.
See you tomorrow!

An Important Announcement About The Future Of Thelbert Comics :(
By admin on June 9th, 2010Posted In: Blog Post
As much as it depresses me to do so, I need to go back to the Monday and Friday update schedule for the comic. When I first launched the site, I had a large buffer to build on. I eventually went 3 times a week because of the buffer. Well, the buffer ran out about a month a go, and It’s been one of a few factors that have made me reach this decision.
Recently, I’ve been having a “comic crisis” and it’s becoming difficult for me to motivate my self to do the comic. I’ll work on a strip, and then stop in the middle of the production because I don’t think it’s good enough or that it’s not funny, or no one will get it.
I have a few other projects that I’ve been trying to work on as well. I have been wanting to incorporate some story line comics in Thelbert, but I don’t want to rush in to those. I want to work on them for a while, make them as good as they can be, and then post them. I’m also trying to figure out how to do original art work, in both watercolor and acrylic for sale on etsy.com.
So please bear with me as I get things in order.

Hey gang!
As you might have noticed the banner has been updated to my “general logo type that I’ve been using for various different venues.” Also, I’ve gone in and updated the About page. There’s some short bios on some of the recurring characters. If you click on the bio picture it’ll take you to the comic they first appeared in! Cool, huh?!
Also, a word on the spammers and comment section. I had some major problems this week with spam comments. Thankfully, that problem has been dealt with, and you can freely post comments on the comics and blogs now without me having to approve them before they show up.
Lastly, I’m busy working on putting together a mini comic for my local Free Comic Book day. It’s my first experience at taking my comics and putting them into book form. It’s been a little rocky so far, but I think I have figured it out. Hopefully, this will be good practice when it’s time to put together the first Thelbert collection book!
Speaking of which, Free Comic Book Day is also the grand opening of our local Baton Rouge comic shop, Walley’s Pop Comics. Pop Comics, formerly School of Comics is opening their new store May 1st! If you live in Baton Rouge, or it’s surrounding cities, come on by and check out the new store! They are located 711 Jefferson Hwy Suite 7 (this is across the street from the School of Comics where Monjuni’s and Brew Ha-Ha are). It’s really i
Anywhoo, that’s all for now! As always, thanks for the re-tweets, likes on Facebook and comments!
